Driver Hire Edinburgh is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Business Support Recruitment Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a varied role that plays a key part in the smooth day-to-day running of the business. You’ll receive full training, mentoring, and ongoing support to help you build confidence, develop new skills, and support our continued transition to a more digital, paperless office.

Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
  • Providing administrative and operational support to the office and wider business
  • Handling incoming and outgoing telephone calls
  • Managing personal and shared office email inboxes
  • Advertising temporary and permanent vacancies via our microsite, job boards, and social media platforms
  • Screening CVs and interviewing candidates
  • Conducting Right to Work checks in line with current legislation
  • Completing online DVLA licence checks
  • Managing the bespoke Driver Hire online application portal
  • Creating and posting content across local social media channels (Facebook, X, and TikTok)
  • Maintaining accurate records through data cleansing within our in-house system
  • Supporting the move to a paperless office by scanning and digitising historic records
  • Attending local job fairs and recruitment events
  • Completing daily and weekly administrative tasks
  • Delivering a consistently high level of customer service to candidates, clients, and colleagues
About You:

You’ll be responsible for managing your own workload, so strong organisational and time-management skills are essential, along with a professional, proactive, and customer-focused approach. Previous experience in business support, administration, customer service, sales, recruitment, or logistics would be beneficial, but is not essential; full training will be provided.

Training & Development:

Comprehensive training will be provided, covering:

  • Driver Hire business operations
  • In-house IT systems
  • Relevant transport legislation

Training is delivered through a mix of on-the-job shadowing, structured learning modules, and access to our Sales Academy.

Hours & Salary:

Full-time, office-based role (EH12) Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. Starting salary: £22,500 per annum.
