Driver Hire Edinburgh City are looking for HGV Class 2 (Cat C) Drivers to join our team, offering guaranteed work throughout the summer peak period with the potential for a full time permanent position. Requirements:
- Licence: CAT C licence held for at least 1 year
- Certifications: Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card
- Experience: Previous relevant driving experience
- Driving Record: Maximum of 6 penalty points (no endorsements over 3 points), no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements
- Physical fitness: Comfortable with lifting heavy items (assistance provided)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carrying out routine vehicle safety checks before each shift
- Delivering goods to residential and commercial locations across the region
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Working alongside a porter to handle heavy items safely
- Following Health & Safety regulations at all times
Pay & Benefits:
- Monday-Friday: £14.00 per hour
- Saturday: £18.66 per hour
- Sunday: £28.00 per hour
- Overtime (after 8 hours): £18.66 per hour
- Shifts: Start at 7 am or 11 am (minimum 8 hours paid per shift)
- Flexible schedule: Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday, with alternate Sunday shifts available
- Weekly pay with holiday accrual on every shift
