Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Bin Driver (Refuse Collection Driver) to join a busy operation based in East Lothian. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking steady, full-time hours with the potential to secure a long-term or permanent role.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00am start times
- Minimum 40 hours per week
- Overtime available depending on workload
- Temp to perm opportunity available
The Role
- Driving a refuse collection vehicle on scheduled daily routes
- Working as part of a team alongside loaders
- Ensuring collections are completed safely and efficiently
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Maintaining high health & safety standards at all times
Pay Rates
- PAYE: £14.50 per hour
- £19.32 per hour (overtime after 8 hours)
- PAYE Advanced: £16.25 per hour
- £21.66 per hour (overtime after 8 hours)
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous refuse or similar driving experience preferred
- Good understanding of health & safety practices
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
