Driver Hire is recruiting on behalf of a leading forklift company in East Kilbride.
We're looking for a reliable, mechanically minded Workshop Fitter to join a busy hire fleet operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working on plant machinery, vehicles, or industrial equipment who is looking for a long-term career.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare forklifts for hire
- Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI)
- Complete off-hire inspections and identify faults
- Service, maintain, and carry out minor repairs
- Keep the workshop and yard safe, clean, and organised
- Complete job records accurately
What We're Looking For
- Strong mechanical skills
- Experience with plant, vehicles, or industrial equipment
- Team player with a proactive attitude
- Good attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Forklift experience and knowledge of hydraulic, diesel, LPG, or electric systems is desirable but not essential. Full training provided.
