Class 2 HGV Driver - Forfar

We are recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver to work with our client in Forfar.

This is a full-time, hands-on RCV Driver role operating a Refuse Collection Vehicle and supporting the collection crew with the loading and unloading of bins.

  • Monday to Thursday
  • 9 hours per day
  • 36 contracted hours per week
  • £26.12 per hour for overtime worked after 37 hours
  • ASAP start
  • Class 2 Driver Duties
  • Driving a Class 2 Refuse Collection Vehicle
  • Completing local waste and recycling collection routes
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of bins
  • Working outdoors as part of a collection crew
  • Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or safety concerns
  • Following all driving, manual handling and health and safety procedures

This is not a driving-only position. The successful HGV Class 2 Driver must be willing to leave the vehicle and assist with the physical collection of bins.

  • Driver Requirements
  • A valid Category C / Class 2 HGV licence
  • A valid Driver CPC
  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience
  • A reliable and professional approach
  • The ability to complete a physical, hands-on role

Previous experience as an RCV Driver, Refuse Driver, Bin Lorry Driver, Waste Collection Driver or LGV Driver would be an advantage, but full vehicle-specific training will be provided.
