Class 2 HGV Driver - Forfar
We are recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver to work with our client in Forfar.
This is a full-time, hands-on RCV Driver role operating a Refuse Collection Vehicle and supporting the collection crew with the loading and unloading of bins.
- Hours and Pay
- Monday to Thursday
- 9 hours per day
- 36 contracted hours per week
- £26.12 per hour for overtime worked after 37 hours
- ASAP start
- Class 2 Driver Duties
- Driving a Class 2 Refuse Collection Vehicle
- Completing local waste and recycling collection routes
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of bins
- Working outdoors as part of a collection crew
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
- Reporting any vehicle defects or safety concerns
- Following all driving, manual handling and health and safety procedures
This is not a driving-only position. The successful HGV Class 2 Driver must be willing to leave the vehicle and assist with the physical collection of bins.
- Driver Requirements
- A valid Category C / Class 2 HGV licence
- A valid Driver CPC
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience
- A reliable and professional approach
- The ability to complete a physical, hands-on role
Previous experience as an RCV Driver, Refuse Driver, Bin Lorry Driver, Waste Collection Driver or LGV Driver would be an advantage, but full vehicle-specific training will be provided.
