Driver Hire are looking for a reliable Class 1 Driver for our client in Dumfries. The job will be Monday to Friday and the start times for this role will usually be between 0600 and 0700 and you will be working until around 1700.
PAY RATE - £15.69 (inclusive of holiday pay)
HGV Driver Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles in compliance with all road and traffic regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of goods to designated locations.
- Secure loads and ensure goods are transported safely.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, and hours worked.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 HGV (C+E) licence.
- Min 1 years experience.
- No more than 3 penalty points.
- Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations.
- Excellent driving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills.
