Location: Kirkcaldy
Contract: 6-12 Months (Potential to Go Permanent)
Pay: £14.00/hr (accrued holidays) or £15.69/hr (advanced holidays)
We are looking for a proactive Transport Planner/Administrator to join our client in Kirkcaldy. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with basic transport industry experience and some planning background who is keen to learn and develop. Full training will be provided.
About the Role
- Assisting with transport planning and daily scheduling
- Completing general administrative duties
- Liaising with drivers, customers, and internal teams
- Maintaining records, updating systems, and supporting compliance
- Contributing to wider operational tasks as required
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Training hours: 09:00-17:00
- After training: Flexibility required between 06:00-18:00 (40-hour working week)
- Weekend on call cover on a rota basis
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of the transport industry
- Some planning or scheduling experience (preferred)
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Good communication and problem solving abilities
- Own transport is essential due to early morning start potential and limited public transport availability
