We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Hand Operative to join our client in the Newton Abbot area. This is a physically demanding role suited to individuals who are comfortable with manual handling and working in an outdoor yard environment.
Key Responsibilities
- General yard duties including organising materials and maintaining a clean, safe working environment
- Loading and unloading goods
- Manual handling and heavy lifting on a daily basis
- Operating a counterbalance forklift (approximately 2 hours per day)
- Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks
Requirements
- Valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
- Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ready to start immediately
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, 42.5 hours per week
Salary & Benefits
£29,009.70 per annum, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 25 days with service, Bupa healthcare cover (including support for prescriptions, optical care, etc.), two company social events per year, full uniform provided.
