We are looking for drivers with Class 1, Class 2, and 7.5 Tonne licences in the South Devon area. Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay) is looking for HGV drivers across Class 1 C+E, Class 2 Cat C and 7.5 Tonne C1 for ongoing work across South Devon. We offer local routes, weekly pay and a guaranteed minimum of eight paid hours per shift. What The Work Involves
Your duties will depend on your licence category and the client you work with. Typical work includes:
- Driving Class 1 C+E, Class 2 Cat C or 7.5 Tonne C1 vehicles
- Local and regional deliveries across Devon and Cornwall
- Pallet work, trade deliveries, general haulage or store deliveries
- Completing daily vehicle checks
- Accurate paperwork, PODs and tacho entries
- Helping with safe loading and unloading where required
- Following all driver hours rules and site procedures
Most routes involve early starts and predictable finish times.
What You Need
- Class 1 C+E, Class 2 Cat C or 7.5 Tonne C1 licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum of 6 penalty points
- Comfortable with early starts and some manual handling
- Your own transport to reach client depots
