HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver positions are available in Kingsbridge, Devon. This role combines professional driving duties with physical outdoor work and offers regular weekday shifts, competitive pay, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

Location: Kingsbridge, Devon. Easily commutable from Totnes, South Brent, Paignton, Plymouth, Ivybridge and surrounding South Devon areas.

Salary: £17.65 per hour PAYE Advance. Other PAYE models available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a Category C (Class 2) refuse and recycling vehicle on planned collection routes
  • Assist with the loading and collection of waste and recycling containers
  • Work closely with the crew and depot team to complete daily schedules
  • Carry out vehicle walk‑around checks before and after shifts
  • Report vehicle defects, incidents, or operational issues promptly
  • Follow all health and safety procedures while working on the road and at collection points
  • Provide a professional and reliable service throughout each shift
Qualifications - Essential:
  • Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification card
  • Valid digital tachograph card
  • No more than 6 penalty points
  • No DR, DD, or IN endorsements
  • Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling duties
  • Own transport to travel to and from the depot
  • Mobile phone for receiving shift and route information
Qualifications - Desirable:
  • Previous refuse collection, recycling, waste management, or multi-drop driving experience
  • Good knowledge of Kingsbridge, South Hams, and surrounding South Devon road networks
