We are recruiting a Class 2 HIAB Driver with remote hook experience for a permanent, full‑time position at Newton Abbot, Devon. This role offers a competitive salary with significant additional earning potential through on‑call and overtime payments.
Location: Newton Abbot, Devon
Salary:
- Basic salary: £35,000 per year (Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week)
- On‑call allowance: £90 per week when on the on‑call rota (1 week in every 3)
- Call‑out pay (Saturday): Minimum 4 hours at time and a half
- Call‑out pay (Sunday): Minimum 4 hours at double time
- OTE: £45,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a Class 2 vehicle with HIAB crane and remote hook
- Completing deliveries and collections safely and efficiently
- Carrying out pre‑use vehicle and equipment checks
- Complying with all road transport legislation and site safety requirements
- Representing our client professionally at all times
Qualifications:
- Valid Cat C driving licence
- Current HIAB certificate with remote hook experience
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- No more than 6 points on licence
- Strong awareness of health and safety requirements
