We are recruiting Class 2 HGV drivers for multi-drop food delivery, which is required for a full-time permanent role based in Newton Abbot. This role involves delivering chilled and frozen food products to restaurants, cafés, pubs, and takeaways across the South West. This is a busy and active role with up to 30 deliveries per day. It would suit someone who enjoys being on the road, speaking with customers, and keeping busy throughout the day.
Newly qualified Class 2 drivers are encouraged to apply. If you have recently passed your HGV test and are looking for your first Class 2 driving role, this position is a great opportunity to gain experience with full training and support provided.
Location: Newton Abbot, Devon
Salary: £35,508 per annum
Job Type: Full-time/Permanent, Monday to Friday only
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete multi-drop deliveries of chilled and frozen food products
- Deliver to restaurants, cafés, pubs, takeaways, and other hospitality businesses
- Carry out up to 30 deliveries per day across the South West
- Provide excellent customer service at every delivery location
- Complete all deliveries accurately and on time
- Follow all transport, road safety, and company procedures
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
Qualifications:
- Essential:
- Valid Category C HGV licence
- Driver CPC qualification card
- Digital tachograph card
- Good communication skills
- Professional and reliable attitude
- Customer-focused approach
- Desirable:
- Previous Class 2 multi-drop experience
- Experience delivering to hospitality or food service customers
- Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply
