Part Time Temporary position based in Newton Abbot.

Salary: £15.75 per hour

Location: Devon – field-based on sites across the South West. Regular travel and occasional nights away from home required.

  • Night shifts paid at time and a quarter
  • Weekend work paid at time and a half
  • 10% uplift on all hours worked whilst staying away from home
  • Away from home allowance paid
  • Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Class 2 HGV vehicles to and from work sites
  • Support line marking and surface treatment operations
  • Carry out physical and manual duties on live sites
  • Work safely as part of a crew in line with site procedures
  • Assist with loading, unloading and equipment preparation
  • Work a mixture of day shifts and night shifts
  • Stay away from home when required for operational projects
  • Drive other company vehicles where licence entitlement allows

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Valid Class 2 Category C driving licence
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification
  • Digital Tachograph card
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Good level of physical fitness
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Flexible approach to working hours and locations
  • Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within highways, construction, line marking, road maintenance or surface treatment industries
