Driver Hire are recruiting for a Cat B Van Driver / Vehicle Preparation Operative to join a busy vehicle hire company in Derby. This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on and is looking for more than just driving work.

Your duties will include:

  • Driving vans and other vehicles as required
  • Delivering and collecting vehicles from customers and other locations
  • Cleaning and preparing vehicles ready for hire
  • Carrying out visual and physical vehicle checks
  • Reporting any damage or issues with vehicles
  • Moving vehicles around the site safely
  • Ensuring vehicles are presented to a high standard
  • Supporting the wider team with general yard duties

What We're Looking For

  • Full UK Cat B driving licence
  • Good driving experience
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good attention to detail
  • Comfortable carrying out physical work
  • Professional and customer-focused attitude
  • Previous experience in vehicle rental, delivery, valeting or a similar environment is advantageous but not essential

Hours & Pay

  • £14.36 per hour
  • 7:00am start
  • Derby
  • Ongoing work available

You will need to arrive at 6:45am for a 7:00am induction on your first day.

Dress Code & PPE

You must arrive in clean, suitable workwear:

  • Black work trousers
  • Protective/safety shoes
  • Plain black top
  • No sports tops or joggers
