Position Details

Duties

Driving LGV 2 Vehicles (Category C/Class 2): Operating rigid flatbed trucks to safely transport plant equipment and machinery, such as diggers, excavators, and loaders, across local and regional locations.
Loading and Securing: Ensuring all plant equipment is loaded, secured, and unloaded safely and efficiently, following relevant safety protocols.
Providing Quality Service: Interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and ensuring customer satisfaction upon delivery.
Vehicle Maintenance: Keeping the vehicle clean and well-maintained to present a professional image. Reporting any defects or issues promptly.
Health & Safety Compliance: Adhering to all health and safety guidelines, both on the road and at delivery sites.

Requirements

Full UK Driving Licence (Category C/Class 2)
Minimum Age 23: For insurance purposes.
CPC & Digital Tachograph Card: Up-to-date and valid.
Experience Handling Plant Equipment: Knowledge of securing and transporting heavy machinery using beaver tail flatbed and a winch.
Knowledge of Kent & Southeast London: Familiarity with routes and potential delivery locations.
Technological Confidence: Competence in using Sat-Navs and PDAs to support efficient delivery scheduling.
IPAF Pal Card: Not essential, but would be beneficial.
Safe Driving Record: No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
