Class 2 Plant Driver

Position Details * Start Date: Immediate * Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Work * Location: Bexley * Pay: £16–£19 per hour (PAYE Advanced Optional) Duties * Driving LGV 2 Vehicles (Category C/Class 2): Operating rigid flatbed trucks to safely transport plant equipment and machinery, such as diggers, excavators, and loaders, across local and regional locations. * Loading and Securing: Ensuring all plant equipment is loaded, secured, and unloaded safely and efficiently, following relevant safety protocols. * Providing Quality Service: Interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and ensuring customer satisfaction upon delivery. * Vehicle Maintenance: Keeping the vehicle clean and well-maintained to present a professional image. Reporting any defects or issues promptly. * Health & Safety Compliance: Adhering to all health and safety guidelines, both on the road and at delivery sites. Requirements * Full UK Driving Licence (Category C/Class 2) * Minimum Age 23: For insurance purposes. * CPC & Digital Tachograph Card: Up-to-date and valid. * Experience Handling Plant Equipment: Knowledge of securing and transporting heavy machinery using beaver tail flatbed and a winch. * Knowledge of Kent & Southeast London: Familiarity with routes and potential delivery locations. * Technological Confidence: Competence in using Sat-Navs and PDAs to support efficient delivery scheduling. * IPAF Pal Card: Not essential, but would be beneficial. * Safe Driving Record: No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
