We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Builders Merchants based in Crewe, seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative with a Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the yard, ensuring smooth loading and unloading of materials.
- Operating a forklift to move stock and materials both inside and outside the yard.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for delivery.
- Working alongside other team members to meet operational goals and deadlines.
Requirements:
- Valid FLT Licence.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a yard or warehouse environment is advantageous.
- A good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, and independently when required.
- Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks.
What We Offer:
- Hourly Pay: £12.21ph; Rising to £13.00ph after 12 successful weeks.
