FLT Counterbalance Driver
Location: Sandbach, Cheshire
Assignment Rate: £14.30 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent (12 weeks)
The Role
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-established client, a fabrication specialist based in Sandbach, Cheshire, for an experienced and reliable FLT Counterbalance Driver to join their team.
This is a 12-week temporary-to-permanent opportunity, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating an FLT Counterbalance truck both inside and outside the warehouse, moving stock around the site and assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles. The role will also involve general warehouse operative duties, stock control, itemising stock and categorising materials around the site.
Hours of Work
- Monday to Thursday: 06:00-14:00
- Friday: 06:00-12:00
Key Responsibilities
- Operating an FLT Counterbalance truck safely and efficiently.
- Moving stock and materials around the warehouse and external yard.
- Loading and unloading vehicles.
- Itemising, sorting and categorising stock across the site.
- Assisting with stock control and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Carrying out general warehouse operative duties as required.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Following all site health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- A valid FLT Counterbalance licence is essential.
- Previous experience operating an FLT in a warehouse or industrial environment.
- Good attention to detail when handling, identifying and categorising stock.
- A flexible, hands-on approach to warehouse work.
- A positive, reliable and hardworking attitude.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
