We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Crewe based business for an experienced 7.5t Local Delivery Driver to support their busy transport operation based in Crewe. This role involves multi-drop deliveries to local outlets, working to scheduled delivery times.
Key Responsibilities- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks in line with DVSA standards
- Picking, loading and securing goods correctly for delivery
- Completing local deliveries
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on time
- Completing all required paperwork and temperature checks
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and reporting any defects or incidents
- Driving in a safe, professional and courteous manner at all times
- Following all company procedures
- Working safely at all times and adhering to site rules
- Reporting hazards, near misses or defects promptly
- Maintaining good housekeeping and hygiene standards
- Using PPE correctly and supporting a safe working environment
- Valid 7.5 Tonne (C1) licence
- Driver CPC in date
- Experience using a digital tachograph
- Previous multi-drop or similar delivery experience preferred
- Reliable, flexible and professional approach to work
- Strong awareness of road safety and compliance
- £14ph, increasing to £14.31ph after 12 weeks
