Class 1 ADR

Role Overview

Driver Hire Chester and North Wales are currently looking to recruit a Class 1 ADR driver for our client based in Sandycroft to work 3 to 4 days a week with a 4am start, typically 8‑10 hour days. This is a temp position to April 2026.

Responsibilities

• Conducting daily checks on vehicles to maintain road‑worthiness and comply with company and legal standards
• Ensuring tachograph records are compliant with WTD and drivers\’ hours regulations
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness inside and outside the cab, reporting defects and incidents promptly
• Collecting from depots across the North East and delivering to the depot in Sandycroft

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 driving licence
• Current drivers CPC
• Current ADR licence (Class 2 Gases, Tanks)
• Experience with fuels/oils/gas, hoses, coupling etc.
• Valid digital tacho card
• Flexible approach and excellent communication skills
