What you will do

We are looking for a Class 1 HGV Driver to start ASAP for our growing client base across the IP postcode, with support from our Driver Hire team in Bury St Edmunds. You will be delivering animal bedding (pallets & bulk), and collecting bulk trailers from saw mills. Deliveries will be with a Moffett and you will be spreading bedding using a Bobcat. Full training will be provided. Overtime is paid after 42.5 hours per week. Occasional Saturdays and nights out may be required during busy periods.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver animal bedding (pallets & bulk) and collect bulk trailers from saw mills.
  • Operate at locations across the IP postcode with support from the driving team.
  • Use a Moffett for deliveries and a Bobcat for bedding spreading, with full training provided.
  • Work Monday to Friday with flexible start times.
  • Overtime paid after 42.5 hours per week; occasional Saturdays and nights out during busy periods.

As a Class 1 HGV Driver you must have:

  • Full UK Manual Licence with Cat CE
  • Valid CPC & Digicard
  • Minimum 1 year experience on Class 1
  • Be comfortable working in industry environments
  • No more than 6 effective penalty points
  • No DG, DD or IN endorsements
