Driver Hire Burton are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our client in Burton. This is a great opportunity for a reliable and professional driver looking for Monday to Friday day work, with shifts starting early in the morning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient transportation and delivery of goods and ensuring all loads are correctly secured. The role will also involve some loading and unloading using forklift trucks where required.
Position start date: w/c 31.08.26
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive the HGV Class 1 vehicle, carrying out daily walk round checks and reporting any defects.
- Load and unload goods safely, making sure everything is secured correctly before driving.
- Complete deliveries on time while following Drivers Hours, Tachograph and CPC requirements.
- Carrying out any other duties as instructed by the Operations Manager or any other member of the Company’s management staff.
Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour + holidays accrued, £18.49 per hour inclusive of holiday
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence and valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- Minimum 12 months practical HGV Class 1 driving experience.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
