We are looking to fill two Warehouse Assistant vacancies for a valued client on a temp to perm basis. This means that you will complete a set period working at this site for Driver Hire before moving seamlessly over to the client on a permanent basis.
Duties for the Warehouse Assistant Role will consist of (but not limited to):
- Running and maintaining the trade counter
- Dealing with customers on hiring and returning equipment
- Raising customer orders
- Handling deliveries in and out
- Picking orders for the next day
- Processing goods in and out for new plant
- Cycle counting spares and equipment
- Checking and identifying discrepancies when drivers check in at the end of shifts
- General housekeeping
The role requires the use of a computer tablet, so successful candidates should be IT literate and able to work off their own initiative. During quieter periods, the successful candidates may be asked to assist engineers and undertake other tasks to support business needs, offering opportunities to upskill and progress within the company.

The hourly rate for the Warehouse Assistant is Β£12.25, with holiday pay paid in advance at 12.07%, increasing the effective rate to Β£13.75 during the initial temp to perm period.
