Driver Hire is recruiting for a Part Time Van Driver (Cat B) for a specialist wholesale patisserie supplies company. Our client makes luxury desserts for the hotel, restaurant, airline, event and up-market retail trades.
It is a privately owned and run business, with the owner being an award-winning pâtissier (pastry chef).
Your role would be to carefully deliver these delicate desserts and pastries to a range of prestigious clients mostly around London.
Shifts typically start at 2am. Generally working just 6 hours per night. Often only between 6 and 15 drops per shift.
You will hold a key for some premises.
Long wheel based van. Previous London delivery experience is preferred.

- £14 per hour (equates to c.£13,100 per annum)

**** Responsibilities of the Cat B Van Driver ****
- Perform daily vehicle inspection
- Assist with loading the vehicle and planning your route
- Expect to deliver between 6 and 15 drops per night
- Ensure all delivery paperwork is accurately completed and signed
- Interact with other staff and clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Follow all rules of the road and safe working practices
- Drive a refrigerated Transit van
- Possess the flexibility to go the extra mile and have a full commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Be comfortable driving in London

- UK Cat B licence
- No more than 3 minor penalty points
- Verifiable references
- Delivery experience preferred
