Driver Hire is recruiting for a Part Time Van Driver (Cat B) for a specialist wholesale patisserie supplies company. Our client makes luxury desserts for the hotel, restaurant, airline, event and up-market retail trades.

It is a privately owned and run business, with the owner being an award-winning pâtissier (pastry chef).

Your role would be to carefully deliver these delicate desserts and pastries to a range of prestigious clients mostly around London.

Shifts typically start at 2am. Generally working just 6 hours per night. Often only between 6 and 15 drops per shift.

You will hold a key for some premises.

Long wheel based van. Previous London delivery experience is preferred.

**** Responsibilities of the Cat B Van Driver ****

  • Perform daily vehicle inspection
  • Assist with loading the vehicle and planning your route
  • Expect to deliver between 6 and 15 drops per night
  • Ensure all delivery paperwork is accurately completed and signed
  • Interact with other staff and clients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Follow all rules of the road and safe working practices
  • Drive a refrigerated Transit van
  • Possess the flexibility to go the extra mile and have a full commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Be comfortable driving in London

  • UK Cat B licence
  • No more than 3 minor penalty points
  • Verifiable references
  • Delivery experience preferred
