Are you a proactive and versatile individual looking for a varied role where no two days are the same? Driver Hire Leeds West is excited to recruit on behalf of our client, a friendly, small family-run business that\’s a leading distributor of car and van parts in the West Leeds area. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity, meaning you\’ll work with us for 13 weeks, with the aim of transferring to a permanent role with our client if all goes well.
This isn\’t your average 9-to-5! As a Trade Counter Assistant, you\’ll be at the heart of their operations, jumping in to help wherever needed. Your day will typically start in the warehouse (07:30 – 17:00, Monday-Friday, with an hour for lunch), where you\’ll be picking and packing orders and loading vans. After that, your responsibilities will be diverse:
- Dealing with incoming calls and emails, providing excellent customer service.
- Serving customers directly on the trade counter, helping them find the right parts.
- Driving the van and making deliveries of car/van parts when needed, ensuring timely arrival.

What we offer (working with Driver Hire Leeds West):
- Weekly pay via PAYE (no umbrella schemes or charges).
- Choose your pay model:
- Basic Pay: £12.30 / Overtime: £14.50(Holiday Pay Accrued)
- Basic Pay: £13.78 / Overtime: £15.25(Holiday Pay Advanced)
- Your choice of pay model will be explained at interview.

We\’re looking for a Trade Counter Assistant who is:
- Proactive and adaptable, ready to assist with various tasks.
- Organised with good attention to detail for warehouse duties.
- Excellent at customer service and communication, both in person and over the phone/email.
- Comfortable with some manual handling.
- Holds a full UK driving licence with no more than 3 live points (for van driving duties).
- Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
