Job description
Smart Solutions are looking to recruit a Site Operative to join the team based across various sites across Somerset mainly covering Minehead and Williton and Dulverton
Hourly rate of £12.21 per hour
There will be a £10 shift allowance added for working a Saturday and £20 for a Sunday
Due to locations transport would be ideal.
The Site Operative will assist with the day to day running of a busy Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) where you will assist facility users in the disposal and segregation of waste and recyclable materials.
The ideal Site Operative:
Basic understanding of environmental permitting requirements and health and safety practices.
Basic knowledge of minor construction and repair work that could be needed on HWRC sites.
Adaptable interpersonal skills.
Good numeric, written and IT skills.
Previous experience within the waste industry preferred but not essential
Experience of providing excellent customer service
Full driving licence preferred due to locations
This is an ad-hoc position and hours of work including weekends and will vary from day to day but will increase during the summer months.
All applicants will be given full Health and Safety training as well as on the job training.
The job is active social and manual. You are also required to work in all weather conditions.
