Randstad, a leading HR services provider, is looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our residential child care team in Stoke-on-Trent.
As a residential children support worker, you\'ll play a vital role in providing care and support to children in a residential setting. Your focus will be on creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes their physical, emotional, and social well-being. You\'ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team, contributing to individualised care plans and assisting children with their daily activities.
Pay rates: Days - £12.50 to £16.60
Nights - £13.50 to £17.70
Requirements:
- At least 6 months of experience as a residential children support worker in a residential setting within the last 3 years.
- Your own car and a full UK driving licence.
- An updated DBS certificate (or a valid police clearance certificate if you\'ve lived outside the UK for over 6 months in the last 5 years).
While an NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent) is desirable, we are looking for individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work well in a team and independently, and a genuine commitment to the welfare of children. A strong understanding of safeguarding policies is also essential.
Your skills should include providing comprehensive care, fostering a safe environment, collaborating with teams, implementing care plans, supporting daily activities, and maintaining accurate records.
