We have a Energy & Carbon Project Manager role available within Holcim\βs National Sustainability Team, based at the Leicester Head Office. This role is ideal for someone with strong project management experience and a passion for energy efficiency, low carbon technologies, and sustainability.
Role: Energy & Carbon Project Manager
Location: Leicester (Head Office) β Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days from home)
Rate:Β£350-Β£550 per day
Duration:
6 months initially
Shift Patterns: Standard office hours, Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of multiple capital (Capex) projects that align with Holcim\βs carbon reduction strategy
- Support and manage low carbon initiatives from concept through to roll-out
- Provide operational, technical, and commercial support to various Holcim business units
- Develop optimal solutions for national Capex sustainability initiatives
- Prepare and manage project scopes, objectives, business cases, timelines, and budgets
- Coordinate internal teams and third parties to ensure seamless project execution
- Track project progress using recognised tools and methodologies (e.g. PMA, ProMap, PMM)
- Provide updates to stakeholders, escalate key issues, and ensure successful project delivery
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure project alignment and impact
Essential requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years\β experience in project management
- Proven track record of delivering renewable energy or energy efficiency projects
- Degree or Master\βs in Engineering, Sustainability, or related field
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
- Knowledge of project management principles and systems
- Experience in industrial contexts (e.g., energy, cement, chemical, refining)
- Strong focus on safety, cost, and time management
- NEBOSH or APM qualifications preferred
- Familiarity with co-financed or externally funded projects
Desirable requirements:
- Driving license and use of a car
- Knowledge of energy monitoring systems and low carbon technologies
