Our well-established client based in Exeter is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver for a permanent opportunity. This role involves a consistent, repeat route from Exeter. Candidates must be happy to drive either a Class 1 or a Class 2 vehicle.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 / LGV Cat C +E Driving Licence
- Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Cards
- Clean driving licence - no endorsements (0 points) due to insurance policy requirements
- Minimum 12 months relevant driving experience
- Ability to adhere to structured delivery schedules and safety procedures
- Strong communication skills and professional conduct
Role Overview:
- Operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle on nightly runs from the depot in Exeter.
- Manual handling of pallets within the vehicle to prepare for forklift loading/unloading at each depot
- Completion of routine vehicle checks and transport documentation
- Engage with repeat customers and uphold service quality standards
- Work independently while maintaining close coordination with the logistics team
Key Details:
- Working hours commence 16:30, job till finish, Monday to Friday
- £21.12 per hour on PAYE Accrued plus £2.55 per hour holiday pay equates to £23.67 per hour on PAYE Advanced.
