About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Biology Technician to support a thriving Science department starting September 2025. The role is based in a well-regarded and high-achieving secondary school in Sheffield, known for its outstanding provision of A-Level and GCSE science. You\’ll work closely with teachers and students to ensure the smooth and safe running of the Biology labs, creating an environment where practical science comes to life.

Essential Requirements
- Experience in a school lab or similar science-based environment is preferred

- Prepare and set up equipment and materials for biology practicals
- Clean and store equipment after use

- Assist in keeping student work spaces clean and safe
- Prepare lesson-specific displays or models
- Attend department and training meetings as required
- Support teachers during practical sessions when necessary
- Maintain records of risk assessments and experiments
