Position: Van Delivery Driver (Chilled Goods) CAT B

Location: Ivybridge

We here at Driver Hire are currently looking to take on multiple experienced van delivery drivers to help deliver chilled and ambient goods all over Devon & Cornwall, on an adhoc basis – If this sounds like the position for you then apply today!

Responsibilities

  • Shifts could be available throughout the whole week, including weekends, starting between 04:30 & 06:00 and will typically finish early afternoon, but you could often find yourself on a 10-12 hour shift during busy periods.
  • Average of between 25 – 50 deliveries per day.
  • Pay is from £13.89 – £20.84 per hour with lots of overtime opportunities available. (Advanced payroll method inclusive of holiday pay)
  • PAYE – Internal payroll meaning we don\’t use umbrella firms!
  • Pension contribution & holiday accrual.
  • Weekly pay.
  • Permanent opportunities may become available for the right candidates.

Job requirements

  • A full and valid Category B licence.
  • The ability to lift and carry as well as move freely in and out of the vehicle, in all weather conditions is necessary due to the physical nature of this role.
  • Previous van delivery experience would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Your own transport is essential to get to and from work.
  • Working mobile phone.

Please be aware that the advertised pay for this job role is an advanced payroll method, meaning the rate is inclusive of your holiday pay at 12.07%. We are more than happy to accommodate a standard payroll method if you prefer to accrue and take holiday separately.
