We have a Traffic Marshall role available within Holcim UK, based at their Bardon Hill quarry site. This role is ideal for someone with great communication skills who is proactive, safety-conscious, and enjoys working outdoors in a high-activity environment.
Role: Traffic Marshall
Location: Bardon Hill Quarry, LE67 1TL
Rate: £12.21 per hour (PAYE)
Contract length: Until the end of 2025
Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Direct HGVs to the correct loading zones under automatic filling systems
- Allocate parking spaces and coordinate vehicle movement to reduce confusion and congestion
- Act as a visible point of contact for drivers and ensure safe site navigation
- Maintain clear and professional communication with drivers and team members
- Support on-site safety practices across vehicle loading operations
Essential requirements:
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Previous face-to-face customer service experience
Desirable requirements:
- Previous experience in a quarry, construction site, or transport marshalling role
- Familiarity with working on live industrial sites
