Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for aMobile Plant Operatorto join our successful client based in the Bonnyrigg,, EH19area. Our client has one of the highest recycling rates in Scotland and are constantly pioneering new technology and recycling processes.
A current valid loading shovel and 360excavator
Pay rate:£12.21 per hour +£10 bonus daily weekly pay in arrears, every Friday
Shift pattern: Monday – Friday 06:30 -16:00
Mobile Plant Operator- Duties & Responsibilities
The role involves operating excavator 360, grab wheeled and loading shovel to perform a various of task including tipping and loading of vehicle outside in all weather conditions.
The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, attention to safety and follow project timelines and complete tasks within the set deadlines.
- Loading outgoing vehicles and separating waste
- Transporting material, feeding lines and hoppers with material for process
- Performing daily checks in accordance with company procedures and site working plan
- General duties & housekeeping throughout the working area
- Supporting general yard operations & co-operate with site management as required
- Be aware of environmental factors and act accordingly – weather conditions, wind, noise, dust and litter
- Required to carry out some Machine Maintenance while on shift
- Working on Lindner shredders’ cleaning and maintenance
- Follow maintenance schedule for machine and maintain a high standard of the machine both inside and outside
Mobile Plant Operator – Person Specification
- Valid wheeled excavator 360, loading shovel
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Good team working skills and good communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
