About Us

Driver Hire Blackburn is a high-performing specialist recruitment business operating within the Driver Hire network. With a small, experienced team, we pride ourselves on quality relationships, strong margins, and long-term partnerships. We are now looking to add a new Recruitment Consultant to the business to develop new non-driving work, expanding our offering beyond driving into complementary sectors.

This is a desk-building role, ideal for someone ambitious who wants ownership, progression, and real influence not just KPI box-ticking.

The Role

  • Business Development
    • Proactively winning new clients through outbound BD and relationship building
    • Developing accounts within logistics, industrial, warehousing, or commercial sectors
    • Identifying opportunities within existing Driver Hire client relationships
    • Spending time in the local area seeing customers / potential customers face to face
  • Candidate Management
    • Sourcing, screening, and placing candidates
    • Managing temporary, temp-to-perm and permanent placements
    • Delivering a high-quality, compliant recruitment service
  • Account Management
    • Building long-term client partnerships
    • Managing margins, pricing, and service delivery
    • Acting as a trusted recruitment partner to clients

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who wants to build, not just service. Ideally you will have:

  • 1-3 years recruitment experience
  • Proven interest or experience in business development
  • Confidence picking up the phone and opening new doors
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills
  • A professional, resilient, and driven mindset

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience in logistics, industrial, or commercial recruitment
  • Previous success building a desk or client base
