Driver Hire Blackburn is recruiting a professional and safety-conscious
Class 1 Flatbed Driver to join one of our long-standing clients, delivering steel products throughout the North West and beyond.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driver with previous flatbed or steel delivery experience who enjoys regular day work with a reputable transport operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a
Class 1 (Category C+E) flatbed HGV .
- Delivering steel products, including occasional overhanging loads.
- Safely strapping and securing loads in accordance with industry standards.
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting.
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
- Working Monday to Friday with day shifts and no nights out .
What We're Looking For
- Valid
Class 1 (C+E) HGV Licence .
- Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience delivering steel or operating flatbed trailers preferred.
- Confident using ratchet straps and load restraint equipment.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Professional, reliable and safety-focused.
- Pay & Benefits
£14.50 per hour PAYE.
Overtime paid at £21.75 per hour.
- Weekly pay via BACS.
- Ongoing, regular work.
- Monday to Friday shifts.
