The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of goods while maintaining excellent customer service standards. This role may involve trunking, RDC deliveries, store deliveries, or general haulage depending on client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in accordance with road traffic laws and company procedures.
  • Complete vehicle checks before and after each shift.
  • Deliver and collect goods accurately and on time.
  • Ensure all delivery paperwork and electronic records are completed correctly.
  • Adhere to Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive requirements.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner when interacting with customers and colleagues.
  • Report any vehicle defects, incidents, or delays promptly.
  • Ensure loads are secured correctly and transported safely.

Requirements/ Essential

  • Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
  • Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Good knowledge of Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations.
