This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a reliable Class 2 driver looking for a varied role within the construction sector. You do not need to already hold a HIAB/Lorry Loader qualification. The company is happy to provide training to the right candidate, with HIAB operation becoming part of the role once trained.
The Role
- Driving a Class 2 HGV to sites throughout the North West

- Loading and unloading the vehicle safely
- Carrying out lifting operations once HIAB trained
- Ensuring loads are secured correctly and transported safely
- Completing deliveries and collections within required timescales
- Assisting with loading and general yard duties when required
Please note: While this is primarily a Class 2 driving role, during quieter periods you will be expected to assist with general labouring and yard duties. This may include cutting grass, tidying and maintaining work areas, cleaning, general housekeeping and carrying out other reasonable tasks around the yard as required. Candidates should therefore be happy to take a hands-on and flexible approach to the role.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence
- Minimum 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of the North West
- A good understanding of HGV operations and road haulage regulations

- Confidence with loading/unloading and securing loads
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to undertake general labouring/yard duties during quieter periods
- A reliable, flexible and hands-on approach to work
HIAB experience is NOT essential – full training will be provided for the right driver. All Terrain Forklift or Telehandler licences would also be advantageous, but are not essential.
What’s on Offer?
- £18.00 per hour
- Immediate start available
- Genuine temp-to-perm opportunity
- HIAB/Lorry Loader training provided
- Varied driving work
- Opportunity to join an established construction business on a permanent basis
