Driver Hire is recruiting 5 HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for one of the UK’s best-known toy retailers based in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

We’re offering full-time ongoing work from 1st September through to the New Year, with a variety of shift patterns available to suit different drivers.

Whether you prefer days, nights, tramping or depot-to-depot trunking work, this employer has the opportunities available.

The Role

Duties

  • Store deliveries nationwide
  • Depot-to-depot trunking runs
  • Load securing using ratchet straps
  • Vehicle checks and defect reporting
  • Completion of delivery paperwork
  • Compliance with Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 driving experience
  • Valid CPC qualification
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Experience using ratchet straps
  • Professional and reliable approach to work
  • Good understanding of UK drivers’ hours and road transport regulations

Before starting, all successful drivers will complete a short on-site assessment with the client’s in-house training team.

Following a successful assessment, you’ll be able to start work immediately.
