Driver Hire Colchester are currently recruiting for Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our team.
Variety of work with a variety of clients across the CO postcode; Harwich, Colchester etc. We require drivers to cover busy periods, sickness and holiday.

- £16.25 – £20.00 p/h for weekday , day shifts
- Job Details
- Start times vary between 04:00 and 07:00 AM.
- Mainly Monday to Friday Day work, however nights and weekends are available (Higher pay)
- Variety and flexibility. Trunking, General haulage, Curtain siders, Flat bed, Refrigerated trailers, Builders merchants ETC
- Local and regional deliveries
- Completing vehicle checks and ensuring full compliance with tachograph and driving regulations
- Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach

Requirements
- Must have your own transport to travel to and from work.
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (Cat C) licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.
- No More then 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, or similar endorsements).
- Must have appropriate PPE, including steel toe cap boots (Hi-Vis provided by Driver Hire).
- Must be able to work with both paper-based and PDA-based delivery systems.
- 2 yrs experience preferred but not essential
- Key Attributes
- Reliable, professional, and punctual.
- Good knowledge of driver hours and road safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Flexible and able to adapt to different routes and delivery schedules.
- Pay above is inclusive of holiday pay at 12.07%, other options for accruing holiday please ask.
