We have a client specializing in compact plant equipment with a location in the Newbury area looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver. Our client is a family run business that has been around for nearly 40 years in the plant equipment industry. They have a total of eight depots around the UK. As part of this role you would be transporting plant equipment from their Newbury Depot to their other 7 depots.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe transport of various types of plant equipment.
- Aiding in the safe loading as well as unloading of plant equipment.
- Ensuring that all the relevant paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
- Completion of daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
Ideal candidate
- Would have proven experience in the plant hire, construction or a related industry.
- Hold a current Category C+E (Class 1) license with a year's driving experience along with up to date CPC and valid Tachograph.
- Experience working both in a team as well as with clients.
Role details
- This is a temp to perm role working Monday to Friday, 45 hours a week.
- The working hours are 07:00 - 16:30.
- There may be occasions when an overnight stay is required, in which case a meal supplement will be provided during the temp period.
