We have a client located in Basingstoke that has a Temp to Perm opportunity for a Cat C Driver. The client covers a large area from Bicester to Thame and across to West London/Park Royal and further down to Portsmouth and Southampton.

The Role

  • Position: Cat C Driver
  • Contract: Temp to perm
  • Start Time: Between 05:00 and 06:00
  • Working Days: Monday to Friday (possibility of weekend working)
  • Shift Length: 8 hours per day

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the start and finish checks of the vehicle, highlighting any issues to the site team as required.
  • You will also be responsible for completing work assigned, namely the collection or delivery of workwear, towels, etc.
  • You could be between 20 - 30 drop offs/collections daily.

Holidays: 23 days per year plus bank holidays (No holidays to be taken the bank holiday week. If they work a bank holiday, they get a day off in lieu.)

What You Need

  • License: Full UK driving license with Cat C, with less than 6 points
  • Certifications: You must have a valid CPC Driver Card, along with a valid Digital Tacho card.
  • Experience: Ideally, at least 1 year’s driving experience in a Cat C vehicle.
  • Skills: Excellent timekeeping and strong customer service abilities, as you will be the face of both the company and of Driver Hire.
  • Transport: Must have your own transport for commuting to work.
