Driver Hire Basingstoke and Newbury are looking to recruit Cat C Drivers to help support the work that we are doing to support our local clients with their temporary staffing needs. The clients we support are based through Basingstoke, Newbury, Thatcham, Hook and Hungerford. The work varies from client to client, and you could be driving for a range of different clients from building merchants to accident repair centres or a supermarket. We also get Temp to Perm opportunities from time to time.
The days can be flexible to you, working as many or as few days as you wish. Generally, the work is between Monday and Friday, but there may be occasional weekend working as well.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Carry out designated duties in a professional and timely manner.
- Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks.
- Be reliable, polite, and friendly.
- Good customer service is vital as you will be the face of Driver Hire.
- Have the ability to plan routes, and be able to use a Sat Nav system.
- Full UK Driving License, with at least 1 year’s experience.
- Current Drivers Card and Drivers Qualification Card.
- Must be over the age of 21, with at least 1 year’s driving experience.
- Previous commercial driving work would be advantageous, but not essential.
- A current DBS check is desirable.
- Verifiable References.
- £14.89 - £30.05 per hour - Mondays to Fridays, with enhanced rates for weekend work.
- Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per day (full day), or 4 hours (half day).
- Flexible working days to suit you.
- Paid weekly in arrears.
