Driver Hire are looking for a reliable Class 1 Driver for our clients in Ayrshire. The jobs will be weekdays and start times for this role will usually be between 0600 and 0700. You will be working a minimum of 8 hours for each shift. This work would probably suit a retired person or someone not looking for full time work.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles in compliance with all road and traffic regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of goods to designated locations.
- Secure loads and ensure goods are transported safely.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, and hours worked.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 HGV (C+E) licence, minimum 1 year experience.
- No more than 3 penalty points.
- Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations.
- Excellent driving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills.
