Driver Hire are looking for a reliable Class 1 Driver for our client in Cairnryan. This role involves early starts at 4am, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods across different locations.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles in compliance with all road and traffic regulations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
  • Ensure timely delivery and collection of goods to designated locations.
  • Secure loads and ensure goods are transported safely.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, and hours worked.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 1 HGV (C+E) licence.
  • Min 2 years experience.
  • No more than 3 penalty points.
  • Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations.
  • Excellent driving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication skills.
