Driver Hire Ashford and Tonbridge are looking for a HGV2 ADR tank driver to join our client at Cranbrook.

Benefits of working as a Tanker Driver:

  • 42.5 guaranteed hours per week
  • Flexible working rota, but this must include some weekends (contact us to discuss what you are looking for)
  • £18.85 per hour - £28.28 per hour after 42.5 hours, PAYE model
  • PLUS holiday

Requirements to be a LGV Tank Driver:

  • Class 2 (Cat C) licence with CPC and digital tachograph card
  • ADR Tanks licence
  • For insurance purposes, you must have relevant HGV experience, should have no more than 6 points on your licence, and no DD or DR convictions in the last year
  • Undergo criminal and financial check (arranged by Driver Hire)

Responsibilities of being a Class 2 ADR Driver:

  • Complete multidrop tanker deliveries to farms and commercial premises
  • Ensure deliveries are made to the customer with a high level of customer service as standard
  • Work in a safe, compliant, and professional manner in line with the clients operational planning
  • Some manual handling will be required when securing pipes etc
  • ADR experience is not required as training is provided so if you have recently obtained your ADR licence this is a great opportunity to gain relevant experience.

This role is a seasonal position available from October until around April 2026. Driver Hire are able to offer guaranteed hours contracts to ensure you have work in the Summer months and the option to return to this contract next year. This role may suit candidates living in and around Ashford, Hawkhurst, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Crowborough, Maidstone, Battle and Hastings.
