DAY SHIFTS - Fridge Trailers and Curtainsiders for Flowers, Fruit, Veg and Plants. ADR qualified preferred, but may consider non-ADR.
Collecting trailers from Ports and other locations and delivering across the UK. Consignments can be chilled goods, plants, flowers and other goods to various destinations.
Ensure correct and safe loading and delivery. Secure loads properly using straps and safety equipment. Familiar with trolley exchange. Adapt to flexible start and finish times. Comfortable with tramping (staying overnight in the truck for multiple days).
Communicate effectively with planning and customers in English. Experience of fridge trailer transport. Experience of the procedures for running in and out of Ports.
The work involves both fridge and curtain-sided trailers, some of the work includes ADR transportation. Ideally drivers can cover all roles: Fridges, Curtain trailers and ADR.
This work is suitable for drivers who are seeking long term work under their Ltd Co or Umbrella Paye and who are happy to Tramp away from home for up to two weeks.
Please note that certain licence endorsements and age under 25 years may mean that the Insurers cannot cover you under the Road Risk policy.
