We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our operations team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery, loading, and unloading of goods using a lorry-mounted crane (HIAB).
This role requires a professional driver with strong awareness of transport regulations, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently across multiple delivery sites.,
- Operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle safely and in line with UK road transport legislation.
- Complete multi-drop deliveries to construction sites, commercial premises, and residential locations.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks, defect reporting, and ensure the vehicle is maintained to DVSA standards.
- Secure loads correctly using appropriate restraints and follow all site safety protocols.
- Communicate professionally with customers, site managers, and dispatch teams.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, PODs, and route logs.
- Follow all company policies relating to health & safety, manual handling, and environmental standards.
- Represent the company positively as a frontline member of the logistics team.
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence with less than 6 points
- Valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
- Proven 6 months experience
- Strong understanding of load security, safe lifting operations, and site safety
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks
Desirable Experience
- Experience delivering building materials, timber, plant, or modular units
- Knowledge of construction site protocols and RAMS
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience
- Full-time, Monday to Friday (overtime available)
- Early starts typical (07:00 am)
- Outdoor working environment with varied delivery locations
