We are seeking a reliable and dedicated House removal /Furniture Delivery Driver to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for House Removals and Delivering Furniture from warehouse to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, ensuring all products are secured for transport.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or damages encountered during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock. Previous experience as a Furniture Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is beneficial.
