We are an established, growing business looking for a reliable, professional, and highly skilled HGV Crane (HIAB) Driver to operate our newly acquired, modern DAF multi-axle rigid flatbed with a heavy-duty crane.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated operator who takes pride in their vehicle.

You will be responsible for transporting, loading, and unloading a variety of heavy goods [e. g., plant, construction materials, containers] safely and efficiently across [Insert Region, e. g., London and the South East].

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operating a multi-axle DAF rigid flatbed lorry.
  • Utilising the lorry-mounted crane (HIAB) for complex loading and unloading operations in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Conducting thorough daily vehicle defect checks and securing all loads (strapping, chaining) perfectly.
  • Representing the company professionally on customer sites, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Adhering strictly to EU drivers' hours, working time directives, and site safety rules.
  • What We Are Looking For
  • Licence: Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category CE) or Class 2 (Category C) licence with no more than 6 penalty points (No DR/DD/IN codes for insurance purposes).
  • Qualifications: Valid ALLMI or ITSSAR lorry loader certificate (Remote control hook experience is a distinct advantage but training can be given).
  • Cards: Up-to-date Driver CPC qualification card and Digital Tachograph card.
  • Experience: Minimum [e. g., 1-2] years of experience operating heavy rigid commercial vehicles and lorry-mounted cranes.
  • Attitude: A professional, safety-first mindset with great communication skills and an eye for vehicle cleanliness and upkeep.
