Driver Project Services are seeking Planning Engineers of all grades to support a major power transmission project in Scotland . This project forms part of a major strategic investment programme within the UK's electricity transmission infrastructure, involving the refurbishment and upgrading of a critical high-voltage network corridor. The works comprise the replacement and reconductoring of existing transmission assets to increase network capacity, improve system resilience, and support future energy demands. This project represents one of the most significant transmission infrastructure investments currently being undertaken in the UK. The scheme will involve extensive engineering, construction, environmental, stakeholder management, and project controls activities across multiple work fronts, requiring robust planning, coordination, and governance throughout its lifecycle. The successful delivery of this programme will play a key role in strengthening the regional transmission network, facilitating future generation connections, and enhancing the reliability and security of electricity supply for the wider UK energy system.
